This wiki is designed to help the students in running/working with the surface process models mainly CHILD and ICE_CASECADE. Several topics and hints will be given. If you have questions please address them to todd or Faisal.
Landlab is python-based surface process modelling kit which gives users the framework to write their own models, depending on what you want to test, with minimal coding needed. For this it provides all the "standart" landscape model equations in python scripts.
Channel-Hillslope Integrated Landscape Development (CHILD) Model
CASCADE surface processes model
Cascade is a surface process model that is well suited for simulating the effects of tectonics and climate on landscape evolution. This program is heavily used and well developed by the Ehlers ESD group. In it's current form, it accounts for glacial, fluvial, and hillslope processes. It is also coupled with Pecube if you want to simulation coupled landscape evolution and thermochronometer age prediction.
