How to get to Obergurgl

Venue

The Gurgl Carat Centre (follow this link for its position on Google Maps) is located in Obergurgl - a small idyllic and scenic mountain village in Ötztal. It can be easily reached by public transport.

Travel by bus in the valley

A public bus (8352/4194) connects the bus stop ‘Obergurgl Zentrum’ to the nearest train station ‘Ötztal Bahnhof’ in 1 hour 29 minutes every 30 minutes on weekdays. ‘Obergurgl Zentrum’ is the last bus station and located directly in front of the conference centre. The last bus to Obergurgl  leaves ‘Ötztal Bahnhof’ at 20:30 pm (see schedule: https://www.oetztal.com/winter/region-and-getting-there/getting-there/getting-here-by-bus.html)

Should you have missed the last bus, there is a taxi available at Ötztal Bahnhof that will take you to Obergurgl for around 110 EUR (+43 5266 88 216).

Travel by air & train

Innsbruck and Zürich airports have the best connections to the Gurgle Centre with only two changes required (train change at the respective main station and at Ötztal Bahnhof to the local bus). Munich Airport in Germany is slightly less well connected with at least three changes necessary.

-Innsbruck Airport: good connections every 30 min (ca. 3 hours total)

-Zurich Airport: good connections every 2 hours (ca. 5.5 hours hours total)

-Munich Airport: reasonable connections every hour (ca. 5-6 hours total)

Hamburg and Berlin are also well connected to Innsbruck with the ÖBB Nightjet https://www.nightjet.com/
